I was outside with my daughter at the end of a long winter. She was delighted to discover her forgotten butterfly net in the garage, so she picked it up and put it over her head. Immediately she made a face, and in a disgusted voice exclaimed, “Blech, this net smells like butterfly breath!”

Growing Season

My granddaughter and I were at a local nursery buying seeds for our garden. As we were leaving, we passed through the pesticide section and Layla stopped in her tracks. She pointed excitedly to a box of snail bait and exclaimed, “Grandma! We can grow our own snails!”
