No Pets Allowed

Wednesday, March 26th, 2014

We aren’t able to have pets because my husband is allergic. One afternoon, I overheard my daughter explaining it to her friend. She said, “We can’t have animals because my dad is a little jerk.”

Imaginary Friend

Monday, February 17th, 2014

Our daughter had been asking for a kitten. My husband is against the idea, so he told her she could have an imaginary cat instead. She pouted and crossed her arms before stating, “I don’t like imaginary kitties. They always bite me.”

Feline Fan

My son is allergic to peas and he knows he needs to avoid them. One night at the dinner table, he asked if we could get a cat. When I told him that Daddy is allergic to cats, he replied, “It’s okay. Daddy doesn’t have to eat them.”

algae-eating fishMy son was counting all of his animals, and he listed one dog and two fish. We then reminded him he actually had three fish. My son replied, “You mean the fish that cleans the algae? He’s not a pet. He’s my helper!”
