women's restroom signWhen we were at the mall, my daughter asked about the “special” trash cans in the stall of the women’s restroom. I explained that they were for disposing of sanitary napkins. Later, while opening a hand sanitizing wipe before lunch at the food court, she asked, “Is this a sanitary napkin?”

boy with dirty fingersMy son had just finished eating when I noticed that his hands were miraculously clean. I asked him if he wiped his fingers on his pajamas instead of the napkin. He replied, “No, I wiped them on the chair.”

girl wiping face with napkinMy granddaughter took my husband’s napkin while we were eating. She wiped her face, rolled it into a ball, and placed it back on the table where she got it. She said to him, “See, I was just borrowing it!”
