Spending Spree

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014

My daughter got $20 from her grandparents for helping watch their dog while they were on vacation. We explained to her she could use it in parts to buy more then one thing. The next morning, we found her ripping up the money. When we asked why she said, “The more parts I have, the more I can get!’

Lottery Ticket

Friday, August 29th, 2014

My son reminded me to get a lotto ticket while we were at the check-out counter. As I finished paying the cashier, he said, “I hope you win, because then you can quit your job, right?” I agreed that it would be great. He added, “And then I can quit third grade!”

Tip Time

Monday, August 25th, 2014

We had finished picking out heavy building materials at the hardware store, so I took the kids to the car while my husband stayed to tip the man who helped us. After waiting a while, I said, “I wonder where Daddy went?” My son responded, “Momma, he went to tip the guy over.”

Feeding Time at the Zoo

Monday, August 11th, 2014

As we were leaving for the zoo, I remembered to grab some change from our coin bank. My daughter asked what I was doing, and I told her I was getting quarters so we could feed the goats. She responded, “Goats eat quarters?”

The New Breadwinner

Friday, July 25th, 2014

My daughter informed her dad that he didn’t need to go to work anymore and could stay home and play with her instead. She explained, “I’m making so much money from the Tooth Fairy that I can pay for everything now.”
