Having a Cow

Thursday, February 27th, 2014

My daughter was visiting her aunt and uncle when she asked for a glass of milk. After taking the first sip, she spit it out and exclaimed, “Yuck! This milk is bad.” Her aunt explained that they drink skim milk, which also comes from cows but tastes different. Tara replied, “Well, that cow must be sick!”

Drink Up

Monday, September 30th, 2013

girl drinking sodaI try to encourage health eating habits in my home. Keeping soda out of the house and replacing it with juice is one way I achieve this. One afternoon, I entered my living room and found my daughter drinking a glass of soda. When I asked what she was doing, she replied, “I’m drinking Daddy’s milk.”

Got Milk?

Friday, June 21st, 2013

milkI was explaining to my son that our 6-month-old baby is no longer nursing becaues I ran out of milk supply. My son then told our baby, “That’s not nice! You finished all of Mommy’s milk. Our next baby is going to starve, and it’s all your fault for eating too much.”
