Library Learning

Wednesday, July 9th, 2014

We were at the library enjoying story time when the librarian engaged the group in finger play songs.  My daughter did not participate but just watched everyone else.  After the third song she whispered in my ear, “You’re doing great, mom. Keep it up.”

Spelling It Out

Wednesday, May 14th, 2014

My son and I were at the Bookmobile picking out library books when I realized I had forgotten my library card. The clerk said, “No problem. How do you spell your name?” My son replied, “M-O-M-M-Y”.

Waiting Patiently

Thursday, January 16th, 2014

I was at the library with my son, and he had been playing with toys for a while. I asked if he was ready to check out his books and go. He replied, “No Mommy, I’m still playing.” About two minutes later, he looked up at me and said, “Good job being patient, Mommy! Good job!”
