Growing Strong

Tuesday, February 11th, 2014

My son came out of the bathroom after washing his hands for a long time. He pointed to his wrist and said, “Mommy, see these blue roots? I am watering them so they grow up to my elbows.” I explained that they were his veins and he responded, “Oh, OK, Mommy. They’re my roots.”

yellow brick roadWe introduced the movie, Wizard of Oz, to my sons, Jackson and his younger brother, Luke. The boys loved it. One afternoon I came into the family room and found them holding hands and skipping around the room. When I asked them what they were doing, Jackson said, “We are off to see the wizard so we can get Lukie a brain!”
