Furry Friend

Monday, April 14th, 2014

As my 3-year-old ran by, I told her to stop chasing the cat since she knows he doesn’t like that. Without missing a beat, she replied, “I’m not chasing him, we’re playing Follow The Leader! He loves it!”

Play Ball!

Wednesday, April 9th, 2014

We asked our daughter what sport she wanted to play when she gets in school. She didn’t know the terms for basketball, so she told us, “I want to play the game where you spank the ball.”

Name Calling

Wednesday, January 22nd, 2014

We’d been teaching my son that it’s not nice to call someone names. One day while using an iPad to play a puzzle game, he got upset and refused to play anymore. It turned out he was offended that the game had called him a name when it said, “You’re a genius!”

Thursday, November 14th, 2013

rock, paper, scissors gameMy son came home from school and declared that he couldn’t marry Chloe anymore. Knowing he had been planning on marrying her for over a year now, I asked what happened. He said, “Sarah rock, paper, scissored me for it, and she won. So now I have to marry her instead.”
