No Man Left Behind

Wednesday, November 13th, 2013

While camping in Colorado, we came across an old mine tunnel along the road. My husband grabbed a flashlight and went inside while the boys and I waited outside. After a while, we could no longer hear my husband talking. My son turned to me and said, “I think something got Daddy. We should go now.” When I responded that we should go to help him because we can’t leave the ones we love behind, he gave me a serious look and said, “It’s too late. We should go.”

family campingWe arrived at our camping site after a long drive and noticed a sign that read, “Dumping Fee: $3,” for disposing of garbage after camping. My daughter then asked if I had any money. When I asked why she needed it, she said, “Because I really need to use the potty.”
