In a Nutshell

One day during snack time, my son confused the almonds in his trail mix with peanuts, so I corrected him. A few days later, my husband said to Liam, “You are such a little peanut.” He replied, “No, I’m an almond.”

Hole in the Wall

While we were visiting family, my son noticed a small hole in the ceiling. He sat up, looked at me with worry, and said, “Oh no! Somebody broke the sky!”

In Flight Entertainment

My son has an affinity for airplanes, and likes to hear about the different makes and models. One day, when Fisher saw one flying overhead, he asked me to identify what kind it was. I told him it looked like a commercial flight. He replied, “So they get to watch TV the whole time, but just the commercials?”

Puppy Love

One day during lunch, my son asked if I was going to have another baby. After I told him no, he replied, “Well, can you have a puppy then?”

Easy as A-B-C

We went to a kindergarten meeting that was held in the gym of a high school. To make room for all the chairs, the portable basketball hoops had been folded down at the post and pushed aside. My son commented, “This high school must be the easiest school in the world. Look how low the basketball hoops are!”
