Noble Sacrifice

Thursday, October 2nd, 2014

My daughter asked me if she could do gymnastics. I explained that she was already taking swim lessons and three dance lessons, so she would have to give up one of them if she wanted to do gymnastics. When she asked why, I told her that they cost money, and that she’d need time to do homework. She responded, “What if I give up homework? Then can I do gymnastics?”

We live by the ocean. One day, we were planning a getaway and I was explaining to my son that there would be an indoor wave pool. He asked, “Mom, when we get there, will it be low tide or high tide?”

Pregnancy Test

Thursday, September 25th, 2014

We found out we were going to have a baby by using a home pregnancy test. When we told our older children, our daughter asked, “How do you know? ” We explained that the woman pees on a stick. She replied in surprise, “Who held the stick?”
