Fisher-Price Pots & Pans Toys Recalled Due to Choking Hazard
Fisher-Price has recalled about 15,000 Learning Pots & Pans toys (sold at discount department and toy stores nationwide from October 2007 to August 2008) after discovering that missing screws in the blue toy pan can cause the clear plastic cover to come loose and release small balls, presenting a choking hazard to young children. Take these recalled toys away from children immediately and examine the bottom of the blue pan. The pan should contain six screws. If all six screws are installed, you don't need to worry or do anything. If any screws are missing, contact Fisher-Price to get a replacement. 500 Davenport Cribs Recalled Due to Fall Hazard
Baby Appleseed has recalled about 500 Davenport Cribs (sold at specialty juvenile product stores nationwide from December 2006 through September 2007) after discovering that the two-mattress support system cribs do not meet federal safety standards for cribs, as the secondary mattress support does not meet the full 26-inch minimum height in its lowest position. These crib measurements allow children inside to crawl over the railing, posing a fall hazard. Stop using the recalled cribs in the third lowest position, which uses the wooden mattress support, and contact Baby Appleseed to receive a repair kit. Use of the crib with the metal mattress support in the top or middle positions is safe until a repair kit arrives. Repair kits will be available from the firm in mid-August 2008. 1,300 Cribs Recalled Due to Fall Hazard
Mother Hubbard's Cupboards has recalled about 1,300 Cribs (sold at juvenile product stores from March 2006 through March 2008) after discovering that the distance between the mattress support bracket in the lowest position and the top of the side rail in the highest position is less than 26 inches, failing to meet federal safety standards and posing a fall hazard to children who climb over the railing. The recall includes four crib models, "Enchantment," "Hush a Bye," "Once upon a time," and "Rock a bye."
Stop using the cribs immediately and contact Mother Hubbard's Cupboards to receive instructions on how to re-install the support brackets to eliminate the hazard. Visit these sites for descriptions, model numbers, federal regulation details, photos, and more information:
