As your child continues to increase in height and weight, it's natural to see how your baby or toddler's growth and development compares to others of the same age and gender. Our growth chart calculator will estimate your child's height and weight percentiles based on information sourced from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) growth chart.

I don't know where they get their formulas from, but if you breastfed your baby for the first six months, you should NOT look at these ratios. Instead look at the World Health Organization growth charts at http://www.who.int/childgrowth/standards/en/ Also, remember that growth indicators were introduced by formula companies and were not used before the introduction of formula.

Teachvicky1 - I have been using Pediasure since my son was 15 months old. He was at the bottom of the chart for weight. He is on cow's milk now so we mix 6 oz milk with 2 oz pediasure. It's too sweet to give it to him directly. He is really starting to gain weight. He has been on the pediasure for the last 6 months. We will probably stop when he turns 2.

Just wondering if anyone has used pediasure. My daughter is 22 months old and only 22 lbs. She has been about 22 lbs since her 18 month well visit. Her height is 34 inches. She is tall and skinny, like her daddy, and she eats really well, and ALL the time!!! Should I be concerned? Doctors haven't said much about it, other than comments like "You are a skinny minnie!"

The web master needs to check his links. The www.cdc.org link listed does NOT take you to the Center for Disease Control. Maybe that's not all that's wrong with page giving all of us incorrect data.

All your kids sound like they are doing fine...but my little "Animal" as I like to call him has some gaining to do :(. He is way lowon the chart. He is 13 months and weighs 14 and half pounds. I give him lots of credit for being a fighting premie. Poor little guy was born at 27 weeks 1 pound eight ounces.

Calculator is WAY off for us. According to the charts at the CDC my 41", 41# 5 year old is below 20% for height and right about 50% for weight. Your calculator is telling me above 95% for both.

I took the quiz and it is accurate with what her Doctor says, 95th percentile for both height and weight. She is 17 months old, almost 3 feet and 29lbs. She is going to be tall! She isn't chunky at all! I am 5'9'' and 135lbs, her daddy is 5'10'' and 155lbs.

Wow my son weighs 28.4 pounds and is 17 months old. He isn't chunky at all. Just solid. Compared to the rest of these children, he sounds like a hauss.... And, I'm sorry, but 53 months? Really? 4.5 years old. Not a baby anymore.

I wish you would provide the actual chart instead of, or in addition to, the calculator. I remember printing one off of your site for my son when he was born, but can't seem to find one now. :(

This has to be inaccurate I just took my son in for his 2yr check up and our doctor said he was in 75th percentile for weight 29lbs and 85th percentile for height 34in. I know the doctors say they usually don't care where the percentile is as long as from birth they have a steady growth pattern & they aren't showing signs of malnurishment but even so this calculator seems way off.

@violentmime: 50th percentile is average. The closer you get to 100th percentile, the more above average. The closer you get to 1st percentile, the more below average they are. Your child's numbers sound right on. My daughter has always been average on her weight, but her height is in the 95th percentile... meaning she is tall for her age.

I dont quite understand the percentiles... when we go for Zoe's check ups they say weight is 50 percentile and height is75th percentile (or vice versa)... is this good? At her 2 month checkup she was 10 lbs 2 oz and 23 in, from a birth of 19.5 in and 7 lbs even.

This is not accurate... when I entered my son's information (33.5 lbs and 53 months) into this calculator it says that he is between 50 and 75 for weight. When I chart it on the CDC growth charts it says he is halfway between 10th and 25th percentile.
