A parent's best friend may be the sippy cup, which helps children gain independence without ruining sofa or car upholstery in the process. Unfortunately recent fears about bisphenol A (BPA), a potentially harmful component in some plastics, have forced some parents to toss these no-spill pals.
Thankfully manufacturers are producing healthy alternatives to traditional polycarbonate sippy cups. One of our favorites is Innate's Me-Me Gripper stainless-steel option, designed for children 6 months and up. The BPA- and phthalate-free cup is as stylish as anything Mom or Dad would use and it won't leach harmful toxins into its contents. The ergonomic shape includes easy-to-grip handles, a wide mouth that accommodates ice cubes, and an optional replacement pop-top spout that lets the cup grow with your child. The cup is available in sweet shades of blue, pink, and green.
