Many newborns arrive with a thick head of hair, but they often lose it by 2 or 3 months, says Joanne Cox, MD, medical director of primary care at Children's Hospital Boston. Some infants' hair only falls out on top. A baby's second round of hair can take months to grow in and may be totally different -- but it will probably be the color and texture she'll have throughout childhood. Kids' hair may change again during puberty.

12/20/2010 07:36:12 PM Report AbuseMy 17 month old baby girl was born with a head full of hair like me and it never fell out it has just got longer, does it mean she will have my hair or could it change? My husbands family has curls and I was wondering if she could end up with curls too.
