An Irish place name derived from the Gaelic "teamhair" for the sacred hill in Meath where the high kings resided. Best-known for the fictional O'Hara plantation in Margaret Mitchell's 1936 novel, "Gone With the Wind," debuting on the popularity chart in the late 1940s, after the release of the 1939 film. Also the name of the Hindu astral goddess and means "star" in Sanskrit.
