Rocky

A form of Rocco. Debuted on the popularity chart in 1942, and peaked in 1955. Influenced by boxer Rocky Marciano, born Rocco Francis Marchegiano, who held the title of Heavy Weight Champion of the World from 1952 to 1956. Also the name of a 1976 film about a professional boxer named Rocky Balboa who gets a shot at the world heavyweight title. The winner of three Academy Awards, the film launched five sequels.
