The Spanish form of Raymond. Influenced by Mexican actor, Ramon Novarro, who achieved his greatest success during the late 1920s and early 1930s, appearing in "Ben-Hur," "Mata Hari," and "The Barbarian." The name peaked on the popularity chart during that time. Has diminished slightly in recent years.
