Irving
A Scottish place name used as a given name starting in the mid-19th century. Best known for famed composer Irving Berlin, born Israel Isidore Baline, whose name was misprinted as "I. Berlin" on the sheet music for his first song. His career was launched with the composition of "Alexander's Ragtime Band written in 1911." "White Christmas" became one of the most-recorded songs in history. The name peaked in 1911 and has faded in popularity.
