Angie

A variation of Angela that became a top 300 name in the late 1800s and again in 1960. It peaked in the mid to late 1970s influenced by the 1973 song, "Angie," by the Rolling Stones, that was followed by the number-one hit for Australian singer, Helen Reddy called "Angie Baby" in 1974, and actress Angie Dickinson's role as "Sgt. Leann 'Pepper' Anderson in the popular 1970s crime drama, "Police Woman." It was later inspired by the 1994 comedy romance film, "Angie," starring actress, Geena Davis.
