Oscar

Used by 18th century Scottish poet James Macpherson in his "Poems of Ossian." The poem was so highly regarded by Napoleon, he gave the name to his French godson, who ascended the throne of Sweden as Oscar I in 1844. Still a chart-topper in Sweden. In the U.S., at the height of popularity prior to 1900. Associated with the statuette given out each year for achievement in the motion picture industry at the Academy Awards.
