The short form of Larisa that was popularized by one of the main characters in Boris Pasternak's 1956 novel, "Dr. Zhivago" adapted into a film in 1965. The name debuted on the chart in 1966 and saw a moderate rise in popularity with the release of the 2001 film, "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider starring actress Angelina Jolie in the title role.
