Bridger

An occupational surname for someone who constructs bridges. Associated with James "Jim" Bridger, the 19th century American fur trader and frontiersman who established a way station for travelers on the Oregon Trail. Several landmarks located in Montana and Wyoming were named in his honor. Rarely used.
