Derived from the old Irish name Breandan. Saint Brendan was an Irish abbot during the 6th-century reported to be the first European to travel to North America. Popularized by actor Branden Fraser, the hero in the 1999 hit film "The Mummy," and the 2001 sequel "The Mummy Returns."

i switched it up. i named my son Brenden. and i hear on a daily basis how i spelled it wrong. but i liked it cause it was different and he loves it an will correct people if they say it wrong...love ya lil man.

I learned that Brendan is an irish name and I know my mom, if she were here would be so proud of him, she was from Ireland. I love you Brendan----love nana

My son now has permanent custody of this wonderful baby and he is now 14 months old and has been such a blessing in our lives. He was the best surprise I will ever have.....I love you Brendan----Love nana
