Derived from a Hebrew word referring to the color of the earth. In the Old Testament, Adam was the first man created by God to live in the Garden of Eden with his partner, Eve. Popularized in Great Britain during the 1960's by British pop star, Adam Faith. Actor Adam Sandler is an influence today.
