Naming our little girl Madison Dawn Reeder. We both always just liked the name Madison..it was between Madison or McKenzie for a girl, and if I was going have a boy he was going be Malachi La'mech Reeder. Dawn is my sisters middle name and La'mech is Noahs grandfathers name in the bible!

I named my little girl Zoe way before the Sesme Street Char. It was my step sisters midle name. no one really heard of it before, I am not suprised to see it on the top choice list now...It is a beautiful name (Means life) short/sweet...but I kind of liked it for the unique value, of which it is loosing...

my daughter's name is Madyson Leigh...we liked the way it flowed...and sounds country when you call her Mady Leigh.... And, funny... I heard another mom screaming at her little girl at Chuck E Cheese with the same name... so it's a great full name to say sternly when you are mad!!! LOL

I used to hate my name growing up because it was unique and different. Now that is exactly WHY i love my name now and chose more unique names for my kids. Although, when naming them the names WERE unique now not so much. I have two boys and now I am having my first girl and I chose a unique name that most have not heard of. I fell in love with the name instantly. It sounds like a princess's name.

I heard the name michaela, but decided to change it up a little; wanted her name to flow well together. So I decided to name her Makaylah Delylah; spelling is different but I love it!

My daughter's name is Nevaeh Arabella-Marie. LoL yes its a long name. I didnt name her Nevaeh to follow the trend of this name, however. My younger sister is named Heaven so I named my daughter Nevaeh in honor of my sister. Arabella is just a beautiful name and I knew I wanted it in there, and Marie is both mine and my sisters middle names, so I knew that was going to be in there for her!

We love it as her name, yes we get is that from Private Practice... and lots of people give funny looks when we say it is a boys name... Follow your heart...

@Avastarrsmom-Don't worry. It's not weird. My nieces, Star and Penny Lane, are both named for the Beatles. @sportbikegirl11- You should pick whatever you want. Don't let other people influence you. My husband and I didn't decide on names for our twin girls until a week before they were born. We finally decided on Amelia (my pick) and Arianna (husband's pick). We weren't even trying to match. It was a coincidence that our name choices were similar.

I don't know when Addison became a girl's ame, but I saw it twice in the classic literature as a man's name... "Addison is a unisex Old English given name derived from the medieval Addie, a nickname for Adam. Variants include Adisson, Adison, and Addeson."

I named our girl Ava Starr because I've loved that name forever. Love old Hollywood names. And Starr is after Ringo Starr. I'm a huge Beatles fan. Anyone think that's too weird? Be honest.

As a Genevieve I hated my name growing up, but as an adult I embraced its uniqueness- although it seems a lot of people are named that now. For our first we chose the name Ava Theresa- Theresa is a family name. We chose Ava awhile ago- i'm due in 3 weeks, and I had no idea how popular it was! Honestly, if I had known we probably would have chosen something different. But, we are attached to it now, so there is no going back!

trekiebaby, I guess it's obvious to you & I both that it's much easier for most to just follow the crowd, guess you read my comment I wrote on the boy name Aidan as well? Guess you're ex doesn't exactly set the trends hehe! Hence a substantial reason why he's an ex? Thanks for the comment, nice to know there's a few brain cells left out there...
