The Danger:
The sweatshirts have a drawstring through the hood, posing a strangulation hazard to children.
This recall involves about 22,000 youth hooded fleece garments that have drawstrings. They were sold in a variety of colors and many of them have the names of colleges and universities printed or embroidered on them. A sewn-in tag reads, "Lil Fan" or "LF 2."
Sold At:
Web retailers, college bookstores, and department stores nationwide from September 2003 through December 10, 2005 for about $15.
What To Do:
Remove or cut the drawstrings or return the garment to the store for help in removing the drawstring. For more information, contact Next Marketing Inc. toll-free at (866) 871-9978 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit http://www.nextinc.net/productrecalls.html.
