Although lice are easily spread from child to child, parents don't usually share hats, combs, and clothing with their children, so you're somewhat safer. Doctors say it's even unusual to see lice on a sibling, since the classroom is the most likely place to catch it. However, you can catch lice through head-to-head contact with your child (like when you hug them or if you share a bed), so it's a good idea to have another adult inspect your head if your child has had an outbreak. --Chelle E. Gosh! On about half the families that I visit to remove lice from, the parents have lice or nits too. I would recommend checking for head lice on EVERY household member.. by "Check" I mean something very specific. First, buy a $15 comb... yes, from me :) and then comb through the entire head. Follow the instructions on www.theNitPick.com remove lice with these easy instructions http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TmTJWjb2bA
