Can I eat spicy foods during my pregnancy?
Is it safe to eat spicy food during pregnancy?

If it doesn't give you a horrible case of heartburn, there's no reason why you can't indulge in your favorite three-alarm chili while you're pregnant. While some women may worry that tangy dishes can trigger contractions and bring on labor, there's no good scientific proof this is true -- it's just an old wives' tale.

I love buffalo sauce Ive been craving buffalo chicken strips and dip them in extra sauce. I read Cayenne peppers in high doses may not be safe, is this too an old wives' tale? How much is too much?

I'm 16 weeks pregnant and I crave Mexican food. Ive become a regular at our local Mexican restaurant. It's so funny when I walk in the door they already know where I want to sit and what I want to drink!! The odd thing is that eating Mexican food doesn't give me heartburn!! The things that you would expect to cause heartburn don't. Simple things like peanut butter, chocolate, yeast rolls, and buttered mashed potatoes do give me heartburn!! Go figure.
