I'm having trouble conceiving after a miscarriage.

Almost a year ago, my husband and I started to try to get pregnant. After a month or two we conceived but then suffered a miscarriage. Since that time I have had regular menses and I ovulate (I use a monitor). We have intercourse two or three times during the peak time but we've had no luck. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry to hear about the miscarriage. It's definitely a hard thing to go through. It is very reassuring, however, that you have had normal menses since then. And as well, you are documenting that you are having an LH surge with the ovulation kit that you are using. Most couples in their 30's take between three and 12 months to conceive. So although you haven't gotten pregnant in the last two months, chances are in your favor that you will in the near future—especially in light of the fact that you have been able to get pregnant in the past. If you haven't conceived after trying regularly for 6 to 12 months, I would consider seeing your gynecologist for a consultation.
