My grandson's stool has been really green and sometimes even a bright green. Should I be concerned?
Stool, especially in younger children, can be a great variety of colors depending on what they have eaten recently. The food that was eaten may not have to be green in color since it may have changed color during the digestive process. There are some illnesses that can be associated with green stools, but those are usually accompanied by fever and multiple (more than 8) loose stools per day. You should seek medical attention if your child is having diarrhea that is bloody, mucousy, or lasts more than 7 days and any time that you're concerned diarrhea could be leading to dehydration.
