My baby has calcium deposits—will it be okay?
Tests showed that the baby has calcium deposits in the heart at 20 weeks. Is this going to be okay?
Many babies are found to have what is called an echogenic foci in the heart on routine ultrasound. Depending upon the specific nature of the echogenic foci, the majority are "normal" but some require further evaluation with a fetal echocardiogram. You need to discuss with your OB which type your baby has.
