Is constipation normal during pregnancy?

I am 15 weeks with my first child and I am having trouble with bowel movements.  Is this normal?

Constipation is a normal becaus eof hormone changes during pregnancy. For some women, it can be extreme and painful. Having regular bowel movements is important for your general health and comfort, and it helps prevent other problems such as hemorrhoids.
