Can I use a vibrator while pregnant?
As long as it's safe for you to have sex during pregnancy, it's probably fine for you to use a vibrator. But keep in mind that most vibrators are a lot harder than the average penis, so it's important to be gentle and avoid deep penetration. Make sure to keep the vibrator clean to avoid any risk of infection. But for some women, having sex and using vibrators can be risky during pregnancy because it can cause uterine contractions. For example, if you're at risk for preterm labor or have an incompetent cervix (a cervix that opens too soon), placenta previa (in which the placenta covers all or part of the opening of the cervix), or any other condition that makes even mild contractions risky, your doctor will likely advise that you set your vibrator aside for a while.
