Mark R. Zonfrillo, M.D., M.S.C.E., is a pediatric emergency medicine physician, a clinical epidemiologist, and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Perelman School of Medicine at The University of Pennsylvania. He leads the Child Road Traffic Safety Research Thrust at the Center for Injury Research and Prevention at CHOP. His research focuses on risk factors for motor vehicle occupant injuries, concussion, and disabling injuries in children. He has received funding from the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Science Foundation, and private industry. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and member of the AAP Council on Injury, Violence and Poison Prevention, as well as a board member of the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine.
