Can I catch head lice from my child?
Although lice are easily spread from child to child, parents don't usually share hats, combs, and clothing with their children, so you're somewhat safer. Doctors say it's even unusual to see lice on a sibling, since the classroom is the most likely place to catch it. However, you can catch lice through head-to-head contact with your child (like when you hug them or if you share a bed), so it's a good idea to have another adult inspect your head if your child has had an outbreak. --Chelle E.
