How do I get my baby to listen to me?

My son will be a year old in April. Is it too early to start to discipline him when he does something wrong?

"Discipline" -- when used in its best and most effective form -- means "to teach." So as parents, everything we do has an element of discipline. And at about 9 to 10 months of age, your child will start to test limits and explore his new world -- which requires us to step up the teaching. So yes, this is a good time to review your limit-setting approach, remembering that calm, simple explanations work best with young children.
